If you think they are kidding, put some 20W or 20/50 oil in the freezer and see how thick it gets when cold. In many previous discussion there have been concerns over top end oiling. When it is cooler out, think how long that oil takes to get back up to the head and cam area. After 20+ years of experience in Anchorage AK with automotive OHV and OHC engines in vehicles, 5-20 starts looking as the best bet for quick fresh oil supply to the top end our beloved "thunpers" in the cooler months. My brother just had 0-20 put in his new (2000) Ford Diesel PU for just that reason. It is almost instant lubrication at start up and the additives prevent problems at operating temps.
Finally unable to ride here in Eastern WA now due to snow and slippery roads. Howeve Christmas Day was a "scooting" day for sure. Max
